"Hello Ladies!!

I am MANSI .I am a SAHM of my 8 yrs. old lovely daughter, married for last 10 yrs. to the most wonderful and loving man.

I had always been a keen crafter before marriage, but lately got so involved in the household chores and raising my daughter that just forgot about my passion for crafting. Then to my good luck, last year in JUNE one day while shopping I coincidentally went to Hobby Ideas store and saw Quilling strips, and without even knowing what they are I found them really interesting and picked them up.And then stated my crafting journey.

I surfed the net and learnt so many different techniques, and so here I am >Not even a year has passed and I have organised 2 successful exhibitions and has started taking craft classes for the kids.Has spent loads of money and has become almost BANKRUPT owning all the dies and punches and stamps and and and the list is never ending. LOL....AND then In October I came across the addiction of this blog world and met all you wonderful people who have now become a part of my life .Love you guys.

And now my first DT card. Keeping the theme(hugs and hearts) in mind I have created this Easel card, using this cute little pussy cat with heart spots all over.

Is'nt she huggable??I have used sketch pens and water to color her.The flowers  are hand made and I have used my MS punch to create that border. The stamps are from Hobby Ideas and the alphas are die cuts.

Hope this card inspire you create yours.Do participate in this lovely challenge.

Hugs
MANSI"

Isn't that super super cute! :) Please leave some love at Mansi's blog and come back and play along here - Hearts and Hugs ! :)

I really think I should have asked all the DT girls to send me the card by post - no returns! :))  Looks at this cutie.. Soo adorable isnt it!

Presenting here Priya Sivaraj and her super cute card. Thanks Priya, for being part of the DT :)

"About Me

I am Priya from Chennai.Married with a 4 year old kid.I was working with a reputed software company and had resigned the job for my kid and to pursue my interests.
As early as I could remember , I had been passionate about crafts..And every relative of mine would have atleast one of my works with them.. either I gift them or they take away when they visit my house :)..

I had wanted to start a blog to showcase my art and craft works for a long time. Then my interests took a turn, after visiting so many card making blogs..they are my real inspirations , that urged me to start a blog immediately.Afterall blogging is all about getting inspired and inspiring.

After I started this blog November last year, I make more cards.. The people behind, who keep encouraging me with their sweet comments, are the driving force for my blog and I take this occasion to thank each and every one of them from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much girls.. :)

A Biggg thanks to Jaya for having made me top three and guest designer for this challenge #6.

About card
This is a Joy fold card, a big one.Made a matching chocolate box just for viewing pleasure. The image is downloaded from internet and colored.Added some heart embossings behind.

The flower below is made of many hearts ...Below orange layer is made of 4 hearts.

The above flower is hearts folded in half and tucked one inside other, this gives a 3D effect to the flower. Other flowers are from itsy bitsy and the butterfly is a silhoutte punch.

I added a small envelop inside to hide some secret messages ;)

Hope I was of some help to inspire you.Do participate in this challenge...All the best to you!!!"

That was super cute isnt it! Now please drop in at Priya's blog and leave some love. And then come back and play along.

Challenge 6 – An inspiration from Anita

Anita wrote an email asking me if she should send me the card itself or just a picture. I politely said just the picture please. Man!! How I wish I’d said she absolutely needed to send me the card! Such a sweet card. See see! :)

"Hi, I’m Anita from Kolkata, married with two lovely kids.  I’m very passionate about crafting since my childhood days. I entered into blog world in June last year and believe me, I had no idea as to what a blog was. While surfing through the net, i came across the blog crazy about atcs, and that was the beginning. I made my blog and since then, it has become an addiction. Not only have I learnt new tricks and tips, but have made several friends right across the globe.

anita

It is really amazing that in spite of not meeting anyone, I feel close to so many of my blog friends. Blogging has given me a sense of satisfaction that I never felt before. I had few craft tools, never knew what is a cuttlebug and spellbinders, did not have single stamp. did not know how to post in blog and had no clue what was vintage, or distressing or how to link back to challenges. That was a year back. shalini, juhi, rachana, kavitha, spardha, these people helped learn how to blog. Hey thanks girls. whatever I make, the entire inspiration comes from all my friends out there on my screen. I just hope that we meet someday and have a crafting blast! what do you say! I firmly believe that, there is no limit to learning. Age is no bar in learning and if you think you can , you will be able to do it. Also there is nothing in this world, one cannot do. Never lose sight of your dreams and they will be true one day. I dream of having my own craft store and I know that I will have one some day.

Picture 281 Now something about my card. This is my first card as a DT and that’s something really great. I’ve tried to follow the theme, Hearts and hugs, and spent almost two days on it.

Picture 277
This is a tri shutter card and I’ve used CB hearts embossing folders as the background. All the images are downloaded from the net, coloured with water colour pencils and then hand cut. The white flowers are mini retro flowers and the sentiments are from fiskars and heat embossed. The Ms punch garden trellis is used as a fence.
So, do play along and share your creativity with all of us. Good Luck!!"

Now, what did I tell you.. isn’t that card super sweet or not! Look at all the detailing – the lamb, the rabbit, the butterfly – all of them adding the perfect backdrop for that sweet couple. Aww!! so cute!

Do visit Anita’s blog at leave some love as soon as she posts it on her blog too.

Thanks a lot Anita for providing this super cute inspiration :)

Cheers,

Jaya
